Summer Excellence Camp Overview
The
Professional Football Academy (PFA) is pleased to unveil the Summer Excellence
Camp Program for summer 2006. The Summer Excellence Camp provides youth soccer players
an incomparable soccer experience through exposure to the training methods used
by European professional teams. These training methods will be taught to campers
by current and former European professional players. This year, due to the World
Cup 2006 in Germany, the camp will feature current and former players from the German
Bundesliga, Germany's top division. The format for training utilizes a logical progression
of technical and tactical teaching. The camp intends to shift the perspective of
how soccer is played, inspiring the campers to achieve a higher level of play.
The
PFA, primarily created as an agency for American players seeking professional
trials in Europe, is a unique organization that offers various programs associated
and involved with professional European soccer that are otherwise limited in the
United States. BV Cloppenburg, a German professional team, is one of the primary
supporters of the
PFA and its programs.
This year's camp program features some top level stars from the German Bundesliga
(see
Guest Coaching Staff).
In addition to the international staff, College of William & Mary players will also
be in attendance. The staff will lead all technical training and help play with
the players in their league matches.
